To help ease the financial burden the pandemic has created, the Federal and State governments have extended the deadlines to file tax returns and make the corresponding tax payments.

The Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act, (CARES Act), extends Unemployment Insurance (UI) to individuals who traditionally would not qualify for UI benefits; provides all UI recipients with an additional $600 per week on top of the regular benefits; and provides a maximum of 39 weeks of benefits.
